Stephen Thorpe's PhD thesis has now been submitted to the Auckland University of Technology research office for assessment. The thesis presents the story of a six and a half year investigation into the use of storytelling to build relationships in online groups. Stephen's research brought together a group of 18 group facilitators in 7 countries across 12 time-zones. The study also explored areas of online facilitation including trust, power, conflict, inclusion, community, motivation, best practice, metaphor, learning, and purpose and culture.
