The Zenergy Educational Trust
In June of 2005
the Zenergy team has set up the Zenergy Education Trust.
The current trustees are Dr. Dale Hunter and Hamish Brown. The trust
has charitable status.
The aims of the trust are:
- To promote the awareness of social and ecological issues.
- To undertake a programme of social and ecological education within
the community.
- To produce educational resource material on social and ecological
issues.
- To collect and maintain a specialist social ecology library and
to make this information available to the Zenergy community and
other communities.
- To support research in social ecology and group facilitation.
- To do anything else within New Zealand that will advance any of
these aims.
Social ecology
is the broader field within which facilitation fits. Social ecology
is particularly about the interconnectedness of everything and this
relates to our whole person approach of facilitation.
Our first initiative is to provide a Facilitation Training Scholarship
Programme, so more people can participate in the skill development
our training programme offers. We see a huge need to create openings
for more people becoming actively involved and more effective in
their role as agents of change.
It is our aim that the charitable trust will make the Zenergy training
programme available to a wider group of people. The trust wants
to support people from non-profit organisations, people working
in community groups, people who are working at a flax roots level
in New Zealand and in other parts of the world. This means that
we now can accept donations to fund our scholarship programme.
You can contribute by cheque, made out to: Zenergy Education Trust,
by credit card, or contact us to pay by
direct debit. Your donation is tax deductible. A receipt will be
sent out to you.
We also see a need to provide support for further research into
the field of group facilitation and co-operative organisations.
Please feel free to contact us if you
know of a scheme or project which needs support. We also love to
hear your ideas how to raise funds for the trust.
