Person Centered Facilitation – An Experiential Workshop for Facilitators |
1-day Pre-conference Workshop
Thursday 13 October 2011
IAF Europe 2011 Conference,
Istanbul,Turkey |
 |
This workshop, led by John Dawson, will introduce participants to a person centered and “whole person” approach to facilitation developed by Zenergy in New Zealand. It is described in the classic book The Art of Facilitation (2007) by Dr. Dale Hunter and colleagues.
The four dimensions of the Facilitator Education Model (as outlined by Glyn Thomas in the IAF Handbook of Group Facilitation) will serve as a theoretical framework for the workshop.
The experiential part of the workshop will introduce participants to the attitudes, personal qualities and presence which distinguish a person centered facilitator, grounded in place, space and grace. This approach draws on the work of Carl Rogers, John Heron and others, including the indigenous people of New Zealand.
Purpose
To introduce a person centered approach to facilitation.
Outcomes
- Understand the Zenergy person centered approach.
- Experience the Zenergy approach to facilitating.
- Practise some of the Zenergy skills
Investment: €350 per participant.
