Diploma of Facilitation

The Zenergy Diploma is a two-three year modular training programme designed to provide in-depth training for facilitators.

The Diploma will be awarded on the completion of the following modules.

YEAR 1

Stage 1: The Art of Facilitation
40 hours training and 40 hours study
This programme provides a framework (philosophy and methodology) and experiential training in group facilitation. Participants develop the skills and ability to guide a group to meet its purpose.

Stage 2 : The Essence of Facilitation
40 hours training and 40 hours study
A training programme in which participants develop their skills and understanding of facilitation to a deeper level. This programme explores facilitation as a series of distinctions which can be mastered.

Facilitation Practice and Supervision
100 hours
Each diploma participant will complete 100 hours of facilitation practice during the course of their diploma. The hours include preparation, journaling of  facilitation experience and review time. This can be done in a Word (or similar) document on your computer. The participant will be coached by a coach of their choice for 6 months. Zenergy coaches are available by negotiation. This module can be started anytime after Stage 1: The Art of Facilitation or Online Facilitation Skills.

Personal Development
Participants will complete:
1 x Personal development or a spiritual development training programme of choice (Not currently offered by Zenergy). Recognition of prior learning available upon application.

YEAR 2

Coaching for Outstanding Results
15 hours training 20 hours practice
A conceptual framework for one to one coaching and practice in all the key skills for outstanding performance. Designed for the workplace.

Online Facilitation Skills
10 weeks part-time (4-6 hours per week)
Online facilitation is explored through group interaction, reflection, and online practice of the Zenergy person-centered approach. The programme provides experiential skills training in online facilitation using a range of online communication tools such as email, forum, Skype, video conferencing, blogging and Second Life.

Master Class
30 hours training and 30 hours study
The Master Class focuses on developing leading edge skills in facilitation. Specific aspects of facilitation are chosen by the class participants and are studied in-depth towards attaining mastery.

Professional Development or Master Class 2
Participants will complete a 2nd Master Class or
1 x other group process method or approach e.g. one module of TOP, Appreciative Inquiry, Open Space or attendance at an International Association of Facilitators or Australasian Facilitators' Network Conference.

Completing Stages 1 and 2 of the Zenergy Diploma of Facilitation covers all aspects of the of the International Association of Facilitators Core Competencies for Facilitators. These compentencies are required to attain the IAF Certified© Professional Facilitator designation. Zenergy's facilitators and trainers are available to supervise facilitators through to the attainment of their CPF.

The Diploma of Facilitation and programme content are reviewed periodically.
