facilitation and social change communities in Australia and New Zealand.
Philip Thomas, an invited participant from the international Generative
Change Community came to learn and share his knowledge relating to social
change multi stakeholder peace building events in Latin America.
The conference was held in a modified version of open space with workshops
invited at the event in response to key questions identified by the
participants. 15 workshops were held on a variety of topics.

Aoraki/Canterbury Facilitators Network
A facilitators’ network has been established in the Aoraki Canterbury region by Zenergy graduates Melanie Schauer and Mary Hay. The network brings together a selection of people from government, private and volunteer sectors, who work in a range of fields.
The focus of the network is to learn and share experiences and knowledge in regards to facilitating change. Key to the network will be keeping up to date with new tools and knowledge and also provide a supportive safe environment to discuss the highlights and issues to do with facilitating social change. For more details contact Melanie on (03) 6840523 or (027) 2303745.

New IAF Journal Editor
In March Zenergy's Stephen Thorpe become the new Editor-in-Chief of the IAF's Group Facilitation: A Research and Applications Journal. Stephen will be taking on the role from Sandy Schuman who has been an editor of the journal since late 1997. Sandy has been involved since the journal's beginning; first as an Associate Editor, and then as Editor-in-Chief from 2001. Sandy has made a wonderful contribution to the profession of group facilitation. Sandy will be transitioning to a consultative role on the Journal’s board and his experience will still be present and can be drawn upon as Stephen steps into the role.
Zenergy
Theme for 2008
Zenergy
team members reflected on the year at the December team
meeting and developed the theme for 2008. The theme is Conscious Alignment. The team also worked together to develop a purpose for Zenergy - To enable co-operation and emergence. There are four keay areas that the team identified as important in achieving our purpose - Enabling people to work together better, person-centered facilitation, global leadership and uncovering how co-operation and emergence work.
